Week in Advance: December 5-10

Week in Advance: December 5-10

With the last week of 1st semester coming to a close, the Lions will host the Redeemer Royals on a rare Tuesday night home game. After having the week off, both teams will look to pour everything they have into these contests as they look to end the 1st half off the season on a high note.

The Lady Lions Basketball Team (2-6) have dropped 6 straight after opening up the season with 2 wins on the road over the Cambrian Golden Shield. The team is led by Madisyn Campbell, who sits 9th in the league in scoring at 16.1ppg while the twin towers of Christine Fleischer and Lauren Van Leerzem sit tied for 6th in rebounding at 9.8 rbp. They will be facing the Redeemer Royals (4-4) who sit directly above the Lions in the standings. This game could go a long way in determining playoffs for Lambton come the 2nd half.

The Mens Basketball team (0-6) will try to right the ship as they face the Redeemer Royals (2-4) on Tuesday night. The Lions have been working hard in the gym during their week off, and will look to half that extra skip in their step as they hope to tally their 1st win of the year. On a team with numerous rookies and transfers, Lambton has still been trying to find the winning chemistry. With playoff hopes dwindling after each loss, the Lions will look to this game to put them on the right track. Branden Padgett will come into this game 5th in OCAA scoring at 20.3 ppg.

Game times are 6PM for the Womens and 8PM for the Mens. Come by Lambton tonight and cheer on your Lions!!
