SARNIA – Added an athletic guard to the back court mix.
Guard Romane Graham has officially announced his commitment to Head Coach James Grant and the Lambton Men’s Basketball Program for the 2026-27 season, and beyond.
Graham is the third commitment in the 2026 recruiting class for Coach Grant and company. Graham joins an incoming class that also features wing Oshane Campbell (Chatham, Ont.) and forward Isaac Mackey (Strathroy, Ont.).
“To be honest, I’m just really excited and I’m ready to play basketball here,” said Graham. “I think this will be a great opportunity for me to develop and improve my skills on the court.”
“I feel like I’ll fit in well with the team. I’ve watched a lot of their games live and online, and I feel like I’ll fit in really well with the group here. And, I’m looking forward to the firefighting program and working towards becoming a firefighter.”
Graham, a five-foot-eleven guard, comes to Lambton from Donald A. Wilson Secondary School in Whitby. Outside of high school, Graham plays with the DC United AAU club.
In the 2026 recruiting cycle for the Lions across all sports, Graham is the second commit to come from Donald A. Wilson. Incoming Men’s Baseball pitcher / outfielder Kyle Peterson will also come to Lambton after a high school tenure with the Gators.
Coach Grant is excited about the potential that Graham brings to the roster and the back court rotation.
“We are excited to have Romane join the squad,” said Grant. “He brings a lot of athleticism to the guard position.”
“Romane shoots the ball really well, and that is an area we want to improve in come this fall.”
Academically, Graham will study in the Pre-Service Firefighter Education & Training Program at Lambton College.
For Graham, it was the combination of a World- renowned fire program and a perfect fit athletically that led him to choose Lambton College.
Graham joins a Lambton program that’s expected to return the bulk of their 2025-26 roster, one that finished the regular season with a 10-8 record, good for fourth in the always-competitive West Division.
The addition of Graham to the back court rotation will help to bolster an already talented crop of guards, adding depth on both sides of the ball for years to come.
Welcome to The Den, Romane!
